Lewis Nolan is a Paralegal in our Property Litigation team at DTM Legal LLP. Lewis works on a variety of contentious matters including commercial property and residential property litigation and aims to work closely with clients to build a great relationship and understanding of their objectives.

Lewis graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Law and is currently studying his Legal Practice Course at Liverpool John Moores University with the aim of qualifying as a solicitor in the future.

As a Paralegal in the Property Litigation Department, Lewis assists the Department by carrying out vital legal research which ensures that our clients receive the most up to date legal advice.

Additionally, Lewis is the first point of contact with residential possession claims under Section 8 and Section 21 of the Housing Act 1988. Lewis is able to assist with the preparation of notices under these Sections, advise on the validity of a notice under these Sections, and bringing a possession claim under these Sections.

Lewis also provides assistance with contentious cases concerning commercial property. Some of the commercial property work Lewis has assisted on involve the preparation and service of break notices, dilapidations, and cases involving a businesses security of tenure.

Whilst at University, Lewis took part in the United Nations Sustainable Development Programme in Vietnam. This programme provided great insight into the variety of practices being implemented in order to achieve sustainability. The programme also exposed the practices businesses and charities in Vietnam are implementing in order to achieve sustainability and adhere to modern standards.

Lewis recently commenced his public speaking journey by appearing as a speaker on a panel at a Legal Professional Evening hosted by Liverpool John Moores University. Lewis relished this opportunity to discuss his journey, role and tips for success with those navigating the legal world.

Lewis participated in a mooting competition with Oriel Chambers and the Supreme Court and in both competitions he was a member of the winning team.

In his spare time, Lewis likes to enjoy watching the football more specifically Liverpool and loves a trip to Anfield whenever he can. Another pass time of Lewis’ is reading. His favourite genres are fantasy and science fiction and is currently engrossed in a series called Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman.
