Jim graduated from Cardiff University and spent two years teaching English in Japan before qualifying as a lawyer in 2000. He became a partner at his previous firm in 2005 and co-founded DTM Legal in 2008. Since then, he has played a pivotal role in the firm’s growth and success, offering legal excellence to a diverse client base across industries such as construction, engineering, energy, leisure, technology, professional services, and manufacturing.

Jim splits his time between DTM Legal’s Chester and Liverpool offices, supporting clients across the North West and beyond. He is also a dedicated father of three and an active member of his local community. As a children’s rugby coach at his local club, he combines his love of sport with volunteering. When not coaching, Jim enjoys sailing and family walks, with their latest challenge being the scenic Offa’s Dyke Path—tackling one section at a time.
