Every year, Liverpool One’s Work Experience Week opens doors for students aged 14-17, offering them invaluable hands-on experience within various industries. This initiative helps shape their career aspirations and provides a real-world glimpse into professional environments. This year, DTM Legal proudly joined forces with Liverpool One, delivering a unique and engaging session that introduced students to the legal profession and the various paths leading to a legal career.
During the session, Solicitors from DTM Legal, Leanna Guy and Anna Abell provided an engaging presentation that covered the fundamental aspects of working in law and the possible pathways to launch a successful career. One of the highlights was a case study on the famous Colin v Cuthbert ‘Caterpillar Wars’ case between M&S and Aldi. This topic was an opportunity to spark discussions among the students, giving them a practical understanding of the legal system and the intricacies of intellectual property law.
The interactive nature of the session aimed to not only ignite excitement whilst also provide students with a comprehensive understanding of their career options within the legal field. By the end of the experience we hope to have inspired the next generation to pursue legal aspirations within the Liverpool City Region.
