Eight partners and associates from DTM Legal have been recognised for their commitment to excellence and tenacity in this year’s Legal 500.
Jim Morris, Edward Barnes, Anna Duffy, Richard Thomas, Alison Brennan, Philip Whitehurst, Robert Harris and Sally Pilott are all recommended lawyers in sectors spanning from dispute resolution to commercial property.
The Legal 500 Awards reward law firms and in-house teams equally bringing the cream of the profession together. The awards are based on the opinions of the 250,000 in-house lawyers who are contacted by Legal 500 throughout the year, and the in-depth research that the team conducts into law firms.
DTM Legal are recognised for commercial property, dispute resolution, commercial litigation, business recovery and insolvency.
Jim Morris, who leads the dispute resolution and construction team at DTM Legal, is singled out for his ability “to get to grips with matters swiftly” when advising on a range of commercial disputes. Legal 500 also praised DTM Legal’s head of business recovery, Richard Thomas, for his operational “brilliance” and “experience in the field”.
Head of commercial property, Anna Duffy is recommended for her “pragmatic approach” within DTM’s property arm which was dubbed “very strong”. As one of the North West’s property litigation experts, Anna has overseen cases which have established legal precedents and has been recognised in the last four editions of the Legal 500 as a “highly effective and tough negotiator”.
Legal 500 selected highlights from the year including the advice given to shareholders of Redwalls Care Services and Drew Care on the sale of two private nursing homes to Kingsley Healthcare.
DTM’s corporate and commercial arm was recognised as a “stand out” team with “quick response times”. Alongside Anna, Jim Morris, Alison Brennan and Edward Barnes, who work across the Liverpool and Chester offices, have been recommended in the last four consecutive editions of Legal 500.
