The Liverpool Sportswoman’s Lunch was held on Thursday 15th September and was another superb success. Over £20,250 was raised for Marie Curie, their chosen charity.
Over 300 attended Anfield, home of Liverpool FC for lunch, entertainment, games, raffles and auctions. Happy Radio presenter, Darren Proctor, led the proceedings followed by Rachel Brown, former Liverpool (1995-1998) and Everton goalkeeper (2003-2014) and sports commentator, winning over 80 caps during her career.
Event co-organiser Marena Mondair from DTM Legal commented, ‘It was such a great day. So many local and familiar faces came to the event and we raised so much for such a good cause. The money raised will continue to support patients with terminal illnesses and their families through care and support at the end of life. It has raised the profile and we are delighted to have supported such an amazing charity.’
